Physical Activity

All adults should be advised to participate in 30 minutes of moderate activity on most or all days of the week (A)

More vigorous exercise is recommended for cardiovascular health and a minimum of 30 minutes 3-4 times a week is advised for cancer prevention (C)

People who are at average risk should be questioned for current level of activity every 12 months (B)

People who are at increased risk should be questioned at every visit and assess readiness for more activity (C)

To promote and maintain health, all healthy adults aged 18 to 65 years need moderate-intensity aerobic physical activity for a minimum of 30 min on five days each week or vigorous-intensity aerobic activity for a minimum of 20 min on three days each week. (A)
