The objectives of this programme are to:

Provide best possible quality of health for clients

Enable healthcare providers to formulate a preventive health care plan
for a client based on age, gender and risk factors

Detect early problems and intervene timely when necessary

Identify the most significant preventable threats to health in the community
and to establish goals to reduce these threats.

Improve the knowledge, skills and attitude of the primary health care personnel
towards disease prevention & health promotion in Primary Health Care.

Educate clients about the importance of health consequences of certain
behaviors and to pursue healthy lifestyles

Empower people to participate in self care.
